Art of the Matter
Lisa has been expressing herself through various art mediums since childhood. Through the years, her art has transversed many mediums from ink, acrylics, fibers, watercolors and most recently oils.
A graduate of the University of Puget Sound in Computer Science, she combines her exacting science training with her creative nature to produce realistic works of art. Lisa has studied under the direction of Jordan Garren Pope and Lew Innocenti in Washington. She has exhibited her art at Ann Adrienne Gallery in Federal Way, WA, the Artists Gallery of Seattle in Seattle, WA, Starbuck Coffee House, Gig Harbor Arts and Crafts fair, the Puyallup State Fair and a solo showing at the Performing Arts Theater in Renton, WA. In 2007 Lisa moved to Boise and joined Art Source Gallery. Currently, you will find her work at the Art Source Gallery in Boise, ID and Gold Buckle Champion store at Karcher Mall in Nampa, Idaho.
In art competitions, Lisa received several awards in the annual international art competition at the Electronic Data Systems (EDS) - On My Own Time. She received 1st place in the professional oil category 2 years in a row as well as Honorable Mention for her last competition. In 2016 Lisa won Best Oil Painting at the Western Idaho Fair in Boise, ID.
She enjoys experimenting with textures and colors, with the emphasis on realism. Color and contrast are vital to achieving the realistic sense of depth in a picture.
Please enjoy these works of art and provide your thoughts and comments back to the artist.
